Our club is closed temporarily to avoid spreading the Coronavirus. Our gatherings are the type that could easily spread the virus. The club will open again when the Coronavirus is considered to be under control.
WE ARE A FREE ESL CLUB.
WE WELCOME ANYONE FROM ANYWHERE. Our club is for anyone who wants to practice speaking English or wants to help people learn English.
Canadians are welcome too and are encouraged to come. People from other countries could learn a lot about English and Canadian culture just by listening to you speak. You, in turn, could learn a lot about the World and make friends and contacts for travel.
Our group is a casual and fun way to practice English and to build confidence. Our group is also good for socializing and making friends.
Our gatherings are very simple and relaxed. You can come in when you want to, sit where you want to, move to another table when you want to and leave any time.
We meet regularly at a large, attractive and comfortable coffee shop downtown, close to Skytrain stations and buses.
Your friends are welcome to have fun with us, so feel free to bring them along.
When applying for membership, please upload a picture of yourself that clearly shows your face.
Asking someone for their Facebook or Instagram or Email or other contact information, might make them feel uncomfortable, so please offer your Facebook or Instagram or Email or other contact information instead.
Be careful with your contact information. Be careful about accepting invitations. If anything makes you feel uncomfortable, please let the host or staff of the coffee shop know.
Here is some information that you might find helpful:
An immigration lawyer is sometimes available to give a free consultation. Please ask the staff of the coffee shop about seeing the lawyer.
