The Nature of Time

Brian Anthony Kraemer:
If everything happens at once, in the eternal present here and now (and I believe it does), what does it mean that a meeting is scheduled for Sunday, June 17th, at 4:30 in the afternoon? If "time" doesn't exist, how is that we all will somehow know what "time" to be there?

Robert B. Burnham:
Time does exist. It is the future which is only an imaginary concept. In a very simple sense, The future can never be met or touched. It is an abstract concept within the rational mind only. We forget this often, as our minds are constantly pulled into the "future", avoiding the now, where we actually live. We use "clock" time to "do" things like getting from here to there or scheduling an appointment. It is when we imagine ourselves in this imagined future that problems can arise. Our minds can dwell there in hope for good to "happen" or worry that bad could "happen". Our real life is only here and now. It really is.
