What we're about

The circles are for women looking to connect with a community of others who are navigating significant life transitions. Each month, a new topic will be explored and discussed. The circles go beyond presenting new information. They provide a safe and nurturing environment for women to share their challenges and learn from one another, recognizing we all benefit when we do personal growth and healing together.

In addition, various retreats will be offered throughout the year at the Nurtured by Nature Retreat and Playhouse in Pinawa, Manitoba. These retreats provide an opportunity for women to step away from their typical lives and focus on self-care and inner awareness. Away from the busy-ness, obligations, and external pressures, new ways of being and doing can be explored in a safe and supportive space.

As a certified life coach, it is my belief that conversation and powerful questions are what move information to inspiration to action to transformation. I deeply believe that if more women committed to conscious self awareness and inner reflection, we would be able to create more balance between feminine and masculine power, attitudes will change, and ultimately, our intentional transformation will improve not only our lives but the lives of the people we love and care for.

Hooky Day Thursday - PADDLE

Hooky Days are day long get-aways during the work week that encourage you to play hooky from the everyday expectations in your life. Step away from work stresses, family obligations, unhealthy habits, and your to-do list. The focus is on play and recreation! Hooky Days take place outdoors at the Nurtured by Nature Retreat and Playhouse in Pinawa. There's no better place to re-energize than in nature and away from the structure and confinement of city life. Rather than following a fully structured agenda for the day, we will have one featured event and flexible time for the group to decide together what to do for play. Featured activities will include hiking, biking, paddling (canoeing, kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding), or tubing the Pinawa Channel. Today's Featured Activity is PADDLE! Arrive between 10 and 10:30 am and we’ll get all the various boats to the water; kayaks, canoe, and stand-up paddleboards. We’ll play on the Winnipeg River, hunting for turtles and exploring the shoreline. We’ll swap boats to make sure everyone gets to play with everything; that should be an adventure if we do it on the water! Lunch is included, of course. And after lunch we can get back on the water or decide to do something different. We will wrap up for your departure by 4:00 pm. The unstructured activities that can be added include; swimming at the Pinawa beach, photo scavenger hunt, pickleball, bocchi ball, bean bag toss, napping in the hammocks, reading in the screened porch, adult colouring books, your own arts and crafts projects. There are a lot of options in Pinawa and at the Playhouse! Each Hooky Day includes: * guided activities * healthy lunch served at the playhouse * outdoor/activity equipment * unstructured free time * organized transportation (transportation is not provided, but participants will be connected so you can carpool together) Who are Hooky Days for? Hooky Days are for adventurous, active women who value their health in all aspects; physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. Hooky Days are the perfect prescription for a needed personal health day. If you tend to be the one who's usually in charge of bringing people together and doing all the planning and organizing, this is especially for you. Let yourself be a participant and free to just "be". All the planning and organizing is done for you. All you have to do is show up with your sense of adventure!
