What we're about

Featured in Draft Magazine, Hoodline, Berkeleyside, and highlighted in Runner’s World, this is a group for anyone interested in balancing fitness with the enjoyment of craft beer in the East Bay. Every Tuesday night a group of runners with varying experience meets at a local brewery or craft beer bar and runs between 3-5 miles returning for post-run beer. Past events have taken place in Oakland (The Trappist, Modern Times, Temescal Brewing), Berkeley (Fieldwork Brewing, Gilman Brewing, Sierra Nevada's Torpedo Room), Alameda (Faction Brewing, Almanac Beer Co), and many more locations throughout the East Bay.
Running routes are determined several days in advance and are posted in each meetup. We look forward to running and enjoying some beer with you!

The Double Standard Holiday Party and Lake Merritt Run

The Double Standard

If you have it, please wear ugly sweaters, Santa hats, reindeer ears, and get silly, etc. The Double Standard does a pretty good job of decorating.

We will meet at The Double Standard in Oakland at 6:30pm, run around Lake Merritt, and return to the bar for beer and cocktails. The bar is known more for mixed drinks, but they do have a few craft beer options as well.

For your first drink, please consider ordering beer or something that doesn't involve a blender or muddling to keep the line from getting too long.

***Please bring your ID even if you're not drinking. You will need to show it before you can enter the bar.***

The route is approximately 4.2 miles, but you have the option to shorten or extend the distance.

Typically we start the actual run at 6:40pm.
