What we're about

Featured in Draft Magazine as one of the "beer and running clubs to join in 2017," this is a group for anyone interested in balancing fitness with the enjoyment of craft beer in the East Bay. Every Tuesday night a group of runners with varying experience meets at a local brewery or craft beer bar and runs between 3-5 miles returning for post-run beer. Past events have taken place in Oakland (The Trappist, Beer Revolution, Temescal Brewing), Berkeley (Fieldwork Brewing, Gilman Brewing, Sierra Nevada's Torpedo Room), San Leandro (Drake's Brewery, 21st Amendment), and many more locations throughout the East Bay.

Running routes are determined several days in advance and are posted in each meetup. We look forward to running and enjoying some beer with you!

Upcoming events (5+)

Temescal Brewing Run

Temescal Brewing

We will meet at Temescal Brewing in Oakland, run a 5k to the cemetery gates, then return for drinks at the beer garden. If the cemetery gates are open, feel free to run through the paths, but a flashlight/headlamp is absolutely necessary. The meeting time is at 7pm and we usually start the run at 7:10pm. The entrance to the cemetery closes at sunset so consider your pace if you want to make it in. The cemetery route involves a substantial incline. 5k Route (Cemetery gates and back): http://www.mapmyrun.com/routes/view/1162260748 Temescal Brewing is located less than a 1/4 miles from MacArthur BART station and has street parking. Street parking can be limited so please make an effort to arrive early if you are driving. While the 5k route is mostly lit, please bring a flashlight, headlamp, or some source of light to increase visibility. All levels of running and drinking experience are welcome! Obligatory Disclaimer: While the goal of this group is to have fun, safety is our top priority. Please take precaution when participating in these runs - wear bright colors when running at night, always be aware of your surroundings, and do not drink and drive. Again, we strive for safety, but the organizers of this meetup are not held liable for anything that happens. If you bring a guest, you assume full liability for their participation.
