What we're about

Featured in Draft Magazine as one of the "beer and running clubs to join in 2017," this is a group for anyone interested in balancing fitness with the enjoyment of craft beer in the East Bay. Every Tuesday night a group of runners with varying experience meets at a local brewery or craft beer bar and runs between 3-5 miles returning for post-run beer. Past events have taken place in Oakland (The Trappist, Beer Revolution, Temescal Brewing), Berkeley (Fieldwork Brewing, Gilman Brewing, Sierra Nevada's Torpedo Room), San Leandro (Drake's Brewery, 21st Amendment), and many more locations throughout the East Bay.

Running routes are determined several days in advance and are posted in each meetup. We look forward to running and enjoying some beer with you!

Beer Revolution Lake Merritt Run

Beer Revolution

***Having to keep changing the dates not knowing when venues will be open again*** We will meet at the Beer Revolution in Oakland and run a 5k (1.55 miles into the Lake Merritt pathway and back) or a 5+ miler (to Lake Merritt, one clockwise loop, and back to the bar) then hydrate at the Beer Rev. We recommend the longer route since the shorter route will be primarily city street running, which means lots of stop lights. ~5.43mile run route: http://www.mapmyrun.com/routes/view/1080996084 5k ish route: http://www.mapmyrun.com/routes/view/1424937094 The meeting time is 7pm and we won't start the run until 7:10pm. Please obey all traffic laws, and no matter how fast you are, do not try to challenge the speed of cars. Like all runs, we will do our best to prevent people from getting lost (the route is often chalked beforehand) and we are very flexible when it comes to pace and distance. All levels of running and drinking experience are welcome! There is usually free street parking available near the Beer Revolution or there is a parking garage located at Washington and 3rd (across from Regal Cinemas and about a tenth of a mile from the bar). As an alternative, 12th street BART is approximately a half mile away. AN ID IS REQUIRED TO ENTER THE BAR. The bar has a patio and it is pet friendly. We do not have a designated location for bag storage. Along with the drinks and food, check out the large venue space where they hold music shows. On nights (like our meetup) when the space will be open, they will have ping pong tables, corn hole boards and a giant collection of Janga blocks. Feel free to entertain or amuse yourself with these post-run activities. https://www.cornerstoneberkeley.com/ https://www.facebook.com/cornerstoneberkeley/ https://www.yelp.com/biz/cornerstone-craft-beer-and-live-music-berkeley-2 Cornerstone is located within a 5 minute walk from Downtown Berkeley BART and bike parking is available.
