What we're about

Featured in Draft Magazine as one of the "beer and running clubs to join in 2017," this is a group for anyone interested in balancing fitness with the enjoyment of craft beer in the East Bay. Every Tuesday night a group of runners with varying experience meets at a local brewery or craft beer bar and runs between 3-5 miles returning for post-run beer. Past events have taken place in Oakland (The Trappist, Beer Revolution, Temescal Brewing), Berkeley (Fieldwork Brewing, Gilman Brewing, Sierra Nevada's Torpedo Room), San Leandro (Drake's Brewery, 21st Amendment), and many more locations throughout the East Bay.

Running routes are determined several days in advance and are posted in each meetup. We look forward to running and enjoying some beer with you!

EBBR's Halloween Run at Arthur Mac's with Run Local

Arthur Mac's Tap and Snack

***IMPORTANT: Masks required indoors regardless of your vaccination status

It's that time of year again. Put on a Halloween costume and run with us! In the past, we've had runners dressed up as an M&M, the Mad Hatter, the Duff Beer guy, and also a group represent each letter of Oakland's Fairyland sign. While costumes are not required, they are strongly encouraged.

Also, Run Local will be in attendance for some post-run giveaways including a couple of $50 gift cards to their site plus a free entry to one of their races. This run is part of a series of live events for Salomon East Bay Run Local Week. More info can be found at the following link below: https://www.eastbay510k.com/salomon-east-bay-run-local-week

In addition, Salomon will be in attendance bringing two different pairs of shoes for our group to test out on the run. There is a limited amount of shoes so arrive early to secure your pair.

We will meet at Arthur Mac's in the Temescal neighborhood, run either a ~5k or 4.5-miler, and then return for drinks and pizza/snacks (vegan friendly) at the beer garden.

4.55 mi (Moraga just before Pala) :: https://www.mapmyrun.com/routes/view/4700668276
5k (Moraga/Ramona) :: https://www.mapmyrun.com/routes/view/4700675365

The meeting time is at 6:30pm and we usually start the run at 6:40pm.

We'll have people watching our things at Arthur Mac's. Do not leave anything in your car.

Some spots along the route are not well lit. We recommend bringing headlamps or flashlights to help increase your visibility.

Like all runs, we will do our best to prevent people from getting lost (verbal directions are provided beforehand) and we are very flexible when it comes to pace and distance. All levels of running and drinking experience are welcome!

Although the meeting time is at 6:30pm, we typically don't start the actual run until 6:40pm.

There are car break ins in the area so please do not leave anything in your car to tempt the thieves. We'll have someone watching our stuff at the Trappist while we're running. The Trappist is located near 12th St Bart and there's plenty of bike parking.

Like all runs, we will do our best to prevent people from getting lost (verbal directions are often provided beforehand) and we are very flexible when it comes to pace and distance. All levels of running and drinking experience are welcome!
