Looking to connect with other techies in the east bay/tri-valley area to talk about deep learning, neural networks, image processing/facial recognition other cool geeky machine learning stuff (and of course big data--need the buzzword in here ;) ). Love the city/silicon valley, but there are ton of dev's out here and would love to get to know who's out here...

We alternate between paper review weeks, which are a little more technical, and projects/coding/videos/group study weeks, which have a little bit of something for everyone.

We have been meeting for almost 3 years every week. The group spans PhD's and lecturers in machine learning to novices and n00b's--with the common thread that we all come to learn. The first half of 2020 will be dedicated to 2 key topics alternating every week: Learning PyTorch and reviewing cutting edge papers. One week will be hands-on PyTorch tutorials and lectures and the next will be a team member presenting a new paper or topic (and we all discuss). The PyTorch syllabus spans from January into July, covering everything from the basics (how to install and use) through to more advanced topics (model tuning and efficiency).
