calling all artists, come down for x3 hour long Trial art class in either Flemish Oil painting, Classical charcoal drawing. The Renaissance Atelier is devoted to the ideas and practice of the classical realism. Much in the current art world is superficial with little regard for the redevelopment of basic skills of draughtsmanship or accurate observation. The atelier system is based on students of varying abilities all working together with their teachers and being assigned a systematic progression of projects chosen to develop particular skills, each of which should be fully mastered before the next project is attempted. This was the traditional method of training artists , with students learning from each other under the guidance of the teacher and with more experienced students offering support to the less experienced.
