AEX Basic Rock Course Info Session
Adventure Explorers Basic Rock Course 2017 Objective: This 6 week course is designed to give participants the skills and experience needed to safely and confidently enter the sport of rock climbing. We also provide you with opportunities to discover some of Washington’s most attractive rock climbing destinations. Please note that while there will be plenty of climbing during our course, it is very much a skills based course! Climbing in the outdoor environment presents many challenges that do not exist in the rock gym ! Prerequisites: The only absolute requirements are: A commitment to become part of our group for the duration of the course (4-5 weeks), a genuine desire to engage in the activity of rock climbing, and the ability to obtain the equipment required. Most of our students have had some exposure to the sport but are at the novice or beginner level. Some of our students are more advanced with their climbing ability but lack outdoor climbing skills. This course would also be of benefit to the experienced climber who wants to refresh their skills, (and learn some new ones)! Apply: (and RSVP here on meetup as well!)
