Members with an MMJ Patient ID Card...

Let's face it... we are ALL new to this medicine's industry in Arizona and it takes awhile to learn about the different strains and how they can help us and the different forms of the medicine that we can get such as edibles (soda, candy, lollypops), dried plant to make tea, dried plant to roll up and smoke or LIVE plants to grow your own, if you are not within 25 miles of a dispensary.  Then from there, we start asking about dosages and etc.  I've discovered the Medical Farmers Market through that provides a room full of people that have the answers to all of these questions and much, much more!  PLUS, they hand out FREE SAMPLES of the edibles!  THIS gives you a chance to TRY the products, to see if it tastes good and to see if it's effective after you get home.

You have to be a patient with an Arizona Medical Marijuana Patient ID card to get in... the only exception being a caregiver to help get you around.  The cost is $5 at the door WITH a canned food item or $10 at the door WITHOUT a can of food.  If you become a member of this group at: they will email regular reminders, correspondence and any notice of an occasional TEMPE location, which have not yet been placed on a regular schedule.

The Farmers Market has music, food, medicine, raffle drawings, free samples at almost every table and a LOT of knowledge.  The best thing.... all of these people are happy, helpful, concerned about your needs and they're fun to talk to... can you say the same about your doctor and their staff and the pharmacies!  On the 1st and 3rd Saturday of every month, they meet at the VFW at 4853 E. Thomas Rd. in Phoenix from 11:00am to 3:00pm and if you're over 65 you get an hour before the crowds... and you'll be allowed to go in at 10:00am.

I have attended 2 of these Farmers Markets, one at Tempe and one in Phoenix, and they are AMAZING!  The wealth of information is overwhelming!  When you walk in, the room is filled with businesses set up behind tables and you walk up and down  the aisles (with occasional rests), talk to the people at each table about their producs or services, take a look at the different forms of medicine at each table and ask questions.  You buy raffle tickets for all kinds of free drawings and you exchange these tickets for the products.  Medicine ranges in price but you can usually get medicine for $10 or $20.

Edibles include soda, candy, lollypops, brownies, fun bars, cookies, honey, sliders... you name it!  Even tacos and burritos made with infused onions that are served for lunch!

Dried plants, live plants, t-shirts and tote bags, pipes and accessories, even waterproof bags that block all odor, to transport the medicine.  There are people of all ages and all levels of knowledge, walking right along with you, or in wheelchairs or with the assistance of a service dog.

If you are interested... you can call me at [masked] and I'd be glad to answer any questions you may have, if I can.  OR... if you'd like to go WITH me to any of them (I know it's kind of scary going to something like this the first time by yourself) you are welcome to meet me there or we can carpool.
