Seemed to me people stayed quite a long time. We do the dance mixers so people can meet more people, and I always try to introduce new people to others. I will add more AZ 2 Step in the beginning part of the night. I am always open to suggestions. True this isn't a bar atmosphere, and the music isn't so loud that you can actually talk to people and hear them.

I dunno...I think it's several reasons. After a couple years of not country dancing I am just getting back into it. The only one I remember well is an az-2step, but when you have one played as the 4th dance and another not played till like 19th...there's a lot of songs in between that I can't dance to yet (guessing that is the problem for some). So I am just sitting around a place I don't know anyone at... In time that will change for me. Another reason...probably the bigger reason (not for me because I don't drink a lot) is...it's not a bar. Go to a bar and they close the place. In a bar it's truly a party situation from slow dances to drink specials to contests. This is a pure dance situation, great venue, huge dance floor, great instructors...but not a place where everyone will close it down. imo

I agree with Rob. I am a snow bird from Canada and has always wondered why dances in Az finish so early. Back home most dances start at 8 or 9PM and go for 4 hours till midnight or 1AM and most people stay at least for 3 hours before leaving. Why are people here so wimpy?????

A great event. My only complaint is that too many people left early. With such good music and excellent venue I can't understand why people are in such a rush to leave -- after all, it was Saturday night!

I saw David fly by a few times, always with a smile on his and his partners face. Way to go David!

Thanks, David for being a dance host last night. You were so busy I didn't even get to dance with you either! Save me a polka next time :-)

That was one of the best events I've been to in quite a while. The pattern taught in the lesson was fun, different, and easier to remember than most patterns. The music was also excellent, and, the number of people that were there was perfect. I only sat down for about five minutes the whole night, and only sat out about three songs, so, the ladies kept me very busy all the way until 11:15.

Best dance floor in town! Awesome mix of music to dance to. As one member put it at the last dance "I haven't had this much fun since Graham's closed!"
