New Meetup: Casual Night at Keith and Tiffany's

From: Heidi W
Sent on: Wednesday, July 30, 2008 10:34 AM
Announcing a new Meetup for The Chandler/Gilbert Wine Meetup Group!

What: Casual Night at Keith and Tiffany's

When: August 23,[masked]:00 PM

Where: Click the link below to find out!

Meetup Description: Hello wine lovers,

Thanks to everyone who responded to my call for help. We have hosts for August Casual night! We're invited to Keith and Tiffany's house. (No, this is a different Keith from last month - but how coincidental is that?) Keith and Tiffany live in Power Ranch in Gilbert. (Pecos and Power area)

Details are still in development so watch for further information.

What is Casual Night?
No, it?s not cut offs and t-shirt kind of casual. Casual nights are casual wine tastings. We get together at someone's house to enjoy wine, food, each other's company and wine knowledge.

Who should come?
Do you love wine? Do you like wine? Do you want to taste different wines? Then you should come to Casual Night.

The theme this month is still under construction. More soon...

What to bring ? food and wine
You are asked to bring one or two bottles of wine and dish to share that go along with the theme of the event. Since our Meetups generally occur at or around the dinner hour, please bring food that is somewhat substantial, as in something you would like to eat for dinner. Bring something to serve about six people but it doesn?t have to be three courses.

Ideally, bring food and wine that matches the theme unless it's just not something you like, in which case bring whatever you want. If you don?t cook, don?t worry. Try the prepared food section of your favorite gourmet grocer or restaurant. And if you post what you are bringing, that helps others to plan so we have less duplication of foods.

Some of you have asked for suggestions of places to buy wine for these events. This should not be an added stress for you. Several places have knowledgeable staff and are very helpful. AJs, World Market/Cost Plus, Sportsman?s Fine Wines and Vine Expressions all come recommended from Meetup members.

RSVP and directions
As a courtesy to the hosts, please respond to the invitation no later than Thursday evening before the event. Only those who respond Yes or Maybe by Thursday night will be sent the address on Friday (for security reasons). If you haven't received directions by Friday late evening, please email Tana or me. (These emails do get blocked sometimes, so check your spam box first, too.)

If you ever need to change your response, just go back into the event and your current response shows on the top right of the page. Just click your new response and submit. Thanks!

Any questions, please let me know.

Heidi W.
