  • Oct 28, 2012 · 1:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

This group is for writers who have a work or works in progress. Fiction of all genres, nonfiction, poetry, and essays are all welcome. There is a limit of 2000 words max. Please bring copies to share with members so they can read along.

We start promptly at 1:00pm and will go from 2-3 hours depending on attendance. If you need to leave early, please let me know, and I will do my best to accommodate you. Other than that, writers will get to read on a first come, first serve basis.

We are now capping the attendance at 10 members per meeting, so please RSVP. If you RSVP and are not able to attend, please change your RSVP as soon as possible so another writer can fill your spot.

Happy Writing!

Dan T.

Note from Geoff - I added a waiting list, so if you are number 11, you'll get an email if someone changes their RSVP.

Looking forward to tomorrow. I have accepted the fact that I will have to share what I yet consider to be a rough-hewn overview of my process of coming of age, a process that is based in "the" story, the story we tell ourselves about who we are, the story that shapes our self-concept and our reactions throughout life. When we are able to realize that that story is not the only story or that, indeed, there is a different story available to us, it is life-changing. I have written many chapters already and hope this tale of "coming of age" at a fairly advanced age will help others see the possibility of experiencing an "ah-ha" moment and of coming to serenity, peace, and even joy after a painful and anguished life.

I will be doing it this year! I have to finish a novel, and it may be my best chance to get it done.
