What we're about

We are a small group of retired and self-employed riders that enjoy the virtually empty back roads of the Bay Area on weekdays. If you have the time and are sick of fighting the Saturday/Sunday traffic and following pokey Prius's through all the good twisties, come ride with us. All skill levels and genders are welcome and everyone is encouraged to ride at their own pace. Faster riders may dash out ahead. Slower/beginning riders can poke along. No pressure and no "macho" stuff. We stop at every critical turn/intersection so all can catch up and stay on our route. We ride all the good Bay Area roads, from Mines to Alice's to Berryessa and beyond. At the outset we want to make clear that this is a "free form" group. Gary and I will handle all the scheduling etc. but that's as far as it goes. We in no way consider ourselves in charge of, or the leaders of this enterprise. We just want to get folks together and go riding! That means that all participants will have to keep their personal act together. We assume that all riders are ADULTS in one form or another and as such are self-sufficient. If people think of these rides as a solo ride that just happens to involve a bunch of nice (we hope) folks, that would be helpful!
