In today's world, data & analytics are the new fuel that power apps, but getting data from producers to consumers reliably/scalably/quickly/easily can be a big challenge. To address this within Expedia, we've built out a centralized streaming data platform with a supporting suite of DevOps tools designed to make it super simple for our teams to produce and consume streaming data, so that we can deploy new data products fast. In this talk, I'll explain what that our streaming data platform looks like and how we've made it easier to build streaming apps more quickly using Primer. Hotel Search In the Cloud

Hotel Search is a key part of business at Expedia. And one of our main efforts recently has been to move the front end of the Hotel Search results page to the cloud. This talk sheds some light on our technology and infrastructure, highlighting the benefits that our devops infrastructure has brought us. Additionally, the talk also gives examples of how we quickly implemented some features for the hotel search results page using our AWS infrastructure.
