This is a group of people interested in viewing, collecting, discussing, learning and making Art Jewelry, Custom Jewelry, Fine Jewelry Collections, Silversmithing, Goldsmithing and Metalsmithing.
Every 3rd Saturday a process demonstration will be conducted in the studio at 2:30pm, this will take place during the Hoboken Gallery Walk. We can exchange information about various techniques used to make jewelry, silversmithing or goldsmithing. You are welcome to request a technique or do a demonstration of your own. (please set up in advance)
Meetups will be held in my studio at the Monroe Arts Center, art jewelry galleries, museums and other studios or venues that share interest in art jewelry.
I would like to share information about the art jewelry community, up and coming events, conferences, openings and competitions happening around our community and outside. I would like to create a dialog about topics that include tools, techniques, processes, materials and why we make what we make. I think we could learn a lot from each other.
EatMetal, Inc studio includes a gallery space, workbenches for students, a communal workspace and my own personal work space. I will host open houses, events to preview my new fine jewelry collections, one of a kind pieces and small scale sculpture. Guest jewelry artist's will be invited to come and show their work in the gallery. All level classes are offered in the fall, winter and spring for an 8 week session. The focus is on core fundamentals and honing your skills. Great fun at the studio is Evening or Afternoon One Day Workshops @ EatMetal, Inc. which center on one project and you get to Bring Your Bling Home!
