Practice our speaking skills and have fun
Toastmasters provides a safe, non-judgmental way to improve your confidence around public speaking, both prepared and impromptu. The key to this is immediate and encouraging feedback, which aims to highlight the skills you have as well as providing tips for areas in which you could improve. Its also described as a "learning by doing workshop" - the more you do, the more you learn. However, the best way to explain this more fully is to visit us - and that is free and without any obligation. If you like what you see, just ask to join.

What we're about

EcoCity Toastmasters is a great way to start your day! If you want to improve your communication skills, practice your language skills or just want the confidence to make sure your voice is heard, Toastmasters is for you - and EcoCity has the skills and experience to help. Originally for Council staff, the club is now open to all. We meet every other Wednesday morning, from 7am to 8.15, in the Manukau room of the Henderson Civic building (across the overbridge from the station and turn right). For a meeting calendar, go to ecocity.toastmastersclubs.org or contact ecocity@toastmasters.org.nz.
