Our vision is that the Twin Cities region will become a national leader in providing innovative solutions for the education and training sectors. We will do this by regularly bringing together educators, academics, entrepreneurs, investors, and education industry enthusiasts in order to create a collaborative, connected and vibrant ecosystem where people across education and training disciplines can work together to discuss challenges, explore innovative strategies and implement creative and effective solutions for global opportunities in education and training.
We are a Minnesota non-profit organization which supports entrepreneurship and innovation in the education and training sectors. Building on our region’s rich legacy of innovation in education, we focus on supporting education entrepreneurs by providing regular networking, collaboration and learning opportunities, as well as helping strengthen our local educational entrepreneurial ecosystem and connecting it with our broader business, investment and academic communities.
There are currently 6.9 million job openings across the U.S., nearly half of which are “middle-skill jobs” – jobs that require more than a high school diploma but less than a four-year degree. As students strive for an educational path that leads to a career, and businesses seek out skilled talent, we must consider new avenues to bridge that gap.
Join ECMC Group, ECMC Foundation, EdNorth, and the Minnesota Cup for a thought-provoking panel discussion about the intersection between education, policy, and innovation, and the role each plays in closing the middle skills gap, featuring individuals from each of those sectors.
