Go is a concurrent programming language with a simple design. It brings fast compile times and memory safety to systems programming. This group is for Gophers in Edinburgh, and the rest of Scotland. That includes people who are curious about any aspect of Golang programming.
Join us for another set of lightning talks!
It's a new year and a slightly different take on the format - if one of your new year's resolutions is to do more public speaking then bring yourself, some slides and a talk of 5 minutes or more.
Shorter talks means we can fit more topics in, so if you've got 5 minutes to talk about anything Go related then I'd love to hear from you.
Topics and speakers so far:
- Stephen Brown from Obashi on Benchmarking in Go
If you'd like to do a talk please let me know so I have an idea of the numbers. You can talk about anything Go related, even if it's something you're not an expert on. If you found the topic interesting enough to do a talk on, chances are we'll find it interesting too!
Pizza and refreshments will be served courtesy of our sponsors at Obashi so come along, have a bite to eat and enjoy some great talks.
The meetup is open to people of all skill levels so whether you're a beginner or an expert you will be sure to get something out of this event.
If you have any questions, please get in touch with me through meetup.com, @edinburghgo on twitter or by email at [masked].
Hope to see you all there!
