I'm planning a trip to the Lawers range, where there are 7 Munros. Looking at the map I realise that a group with a couple of cars could leave a car at the Lawers Hotel, then start at Lochan Na Lairige and walk the lot of them west-to-east in one longish, but eminently achievable, trip.

At 12 miles, 1706m ascent, 2067m descent - Naismith's rule would estimate 6 hr 47 mins. That's a pretty quick trip for so many peaks (including the tenth highest mountain in Scotland).

If weather or energy levels weren't great then there are shorter alternatives available - e.g. dropping down to the hotel after Ben Lawers would mean 4 Munros and 5 1/4 hours by Naismith's rule (and avoid An Stuc - the trickiest bit)

I'll be driving from north Edinburgh early on the Saturday morning if anyone fancies coming along - weather forecast is currently for a sunny day (although taking weather forecasts a week in advance with a big pinch of salt!)

Not generally a difficult route, other than the scramble down An Stuc (please read www.walkhighlands.co.uk/munros/an-stuc) and a couple of other steep (but grassy) bits. Otherwise gentle ridges and grass.

I'm happy to lead the way and navigate, but am not a trained, qualified or experienced guide so everyone would need to see to their own kit and be responsible for their own well-being.

Who's up for it?
