What we’re about

LoRaWAN is taking off around the world, the Internet of Things is happening!

I'm just back from the Things Conference in Amsterdam, two days of inspiring talks about new projects, new sensors and gateways to play with. I also chatted with people from around the work, including a few from Edinburgh(!), and I'm even more convinced we're only just at the start of the LPWAN journey.

There's interesting LoRa stuff happening in Edinburgh:
* nerds tinkering with hardware at Edinburgh Hacklab
* Edinburgh University's LoRaWAN network
* 16 Things Network gateways in the Edinburgh community

I think it's time for a LoRa(WAN)/TTN meetup! Exact dates and format to be discussed and decided, but let's aim to meet around the end of February/beginning of March, even if it's just an informal chat over a drink. I'll send out a poll to choose a date later.

Sign up to the group, and let me know if you're interested!

Who's running this?
I'm Al, a local LoRa fanboy. I'm an Electronic Engineer and build LoRaWAN devices as Sensational Systems Limited (https://sensational.systems) and run https://connectedthings.store
