OK, let's go! For the first meeting of the group we're delighted to be invited along to Argyle House to find out more about Edinburgh University's IoT Research & Innovation Service.

19:00 Simon Chapple and Mark Strevens - Edinburgh University talk about the University's IoT Service, Q&A
19:40 (ish) Everyone nerds out about LoRa and IoT, time to chat to the speakers and attendees further and more time to play about with LoRa kit. Bring your LoRaWAN projects to demo!
20:45 Close, with possible migration to nearby pub for further chat
About the Speakers and Presentation:
Simon and Mark will be giving an overview and update on their work at Edinburgh Uni, including building their LoRaWAN network across Edinburgh, monitoring in their buildings and smart city projects (including electronic owls). There's more about the IoT service here at http://iot.ed.ac.uk
The Edinburgh University offices at Argyle House are part of the IoT service's test environment, various research projects are carried out here and IoT devices are deployed to test in a real working environment. Simon and Mark will explain more!
