Power(Shell) to the Lazy

Abstract
Takin’ the easy road, that’s my motto. Want to see how I take the easy road with PowerShell? Come to watch me grumbling about it. Might make your life easier too.

This session covers:
Profiles
Analyzing your own behavior and figuring out what might profitably be made easier
Avoiding repetition of steps that could be shortened
Improving usability of existing commands
Low effort tooling & tool distribution

Bio
On the job, Fred is an IT analyst / administrator, a universalist who covers a wide spectrum of technologies in Microsoft-centric environments. As a naturally lazy person he keeps automating things with PowerShell … only to find new things to automate. Again.

In his putatively ‘spare’ time he contributes to the dbatools project, maintains and extends the PSFramework PowerShell module, runs a PowerShell Usergroup, reads tons of books and mixes cocktails.

Additional Information
For those interested, Edmonton Microsoft User Group (EMUG) will be heading to West Edmonton Mall - Boston Pizza (1678, 8882 170 Street, Edmonton, Alberta T5T 4M2) on Bourbon Street after the talk. Some appetizers will be provided.

*EMUG will be meeting at the theatre in the Microsoft store, but our speaker, Friedrich Weinmann, will presenting this remotely from Germany.
