We return from a brief hiatus with a very special meetup featuring Doug Hoyer (https://doughoyer.bandcamp.com/), who has composed more Edmonton podcast theme music than anyone else on Earth (probably).

You can hear his sounds on such podcasts as Don't Call Me A Guru (https://dontcallmeaguru.wordpress.com/), For Kicks (https://forkickspodcast.com/), Let's Find Out (https://letsfindoutpodcast.com/), Pet Sounds (http://www.petsoundsradio.com/) and Clock Radio (https://soundcloud.com/macewanu). We're going to talk to him about how and why he writes podcast themes, what it's like to be a podcast guest, and what role podcasting plays in covering independent musicians.

Doug lives in Athens, Georgia, but he's making a trip to Edmonton in October, so we grabbed the opportunity to have him at the meetup. On the evening of Oct. 21, he and a string quartet are playing his newest songs at St. Faith's Anglican Church (tickets here (https://yeglive.ca/events/doug-hoyer-string-quartet/oct-21-2017/st-faith-s-st-stephen-the-martyr-anglican-church)!)

Besides the chat with Doug, there will be swag from ATB (http://www.atb.com/listen/Pages/default.aspx) and a door prize from Variant Edition, and lots of fellow podcasters and pod-curious people to meet.

PLEASE NOTE: The date for this meetup was changed from Sunday, Oct. 22, to Saturday, Oct. 21. Take note if you RSVPed for the original date.
