A Social Meet-Up for Widowed folks -all ages - - - Fridays have about 20 to 30 people depending on the evening although most no longer sign up as we just meet every Friday at the same place anyway (Edmonton Inn on Kingsway at 7pm - must be widowed or have lost a partner through death , our definition of widowed is very general and has included finances and other grey areas -please message us at edmontonwidowed@gmail.com if you have any questions - no registration is required to come if you are uncertain about joining -the first time was hard for everyone , we know how you feel .

Being widowed is much different than being divorced, from losing your dog, or from having a friend pass away - we know, we're widowed too - so we like to have a couple drinks together. Come join us. \ We meet at the lounge which has a friendly environment. It is often only our group there - we regularly get together and have some time with other friends who understand exactly where we are coming from. \ {please report any unwanted group email} -- Our Fridays are casual and we have a drink (or two) and talk- there is **no organized format** of any kind - just sharing some time together, having a wine or beer. \ \ We normally have about 20 members attend our events, and each month we grow by a few more. In our group, the average time being widowed is probably about 2 Years - many have been widowed over 5 years ago. \ \ Our group is not to be approached as a dating site, inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated. Please do not fill in the About Me section with details that would better go on a dating app.
Who is eligible to join our group?
