Update: We just added two new Tech Educators to the panel: Jennifer Smith, Creative Innovative Specialist at Arlington Heights SD 25, and Amy Lamberti, Integration Specialist for Lake Forest SD 67. They're also the host of Learning RedesignED (http://edreach.us/lrd) on the EdReach Network.
This will be a great chance for anyone to get inside the minds of educators who are making sweeping changes in our schools through technologies, as well as understand how and what drives the choices they make behind the tools they choose to use with students. Hope to see you there!
Following a similarly structured Teacher Talk meetup by our friends at the New Orleans EdTech Meetup, Educelerate is bringing EdReach's Te@cher Tech T@lk (http://edreach.us/channel/ttt/) offline for an in-person discussion with teachers on issues like: "Why has teaching and learning looked practically the same for the last 150 years? Are you curious about ways we can make the process better for students and easier for teachers? Do you want to learn the latest tricks of the trade to make your teaching practice more efficient?"
We will forgo formal presentations and panelists and keep it fun, informal and a chance for teachers to connect with each other. But, that does not mean we will dispense with all structure, as our discussions will be facilitated by Dan Rezac of EdReach and the teams at Te@cher Tech T@lk and Learning RedesignED, and other folks in the field like 4.0Schools alum and KIPP Chicago director of technology Jin Soo Huh and our event sponsors from ThinkCERCA.
Anyone with an interest in education and technology is welcome as our primary goal is to help increase collaboration and communication among educators to solve real practical problems in the classroom using technology. And if you cannot make it in person, join us online: http://bit.ly/1hwhw79
And if you don't know, Te@cher Tech T@lk and Learning RedesignED are two of the top webchannels on EdReach, Stitcher, iTunes, etc. Learn more at: edreach.us/channel/ttt/ and edreach.us/channel/lrd/.
