To Accelerate or Not to Accelerate
Startup accelerators can provide critical support to early-stage companies in the form of business mentorship and financing. The accelerator process can be intense, compressing several years' worth of learning-by-doing into just a few months, and thereby accelerating a young company early in its life cycle. After a brief description of the overall landscape, the panel will help us explore the suitability of accelerators for ed-tech startups, answering questions like: Is an accelerator program the right fit for your new venture? Will it speed the process of gaining customer traction? Will it help your young company attract investment capital? For participating startups, was it worth the time and energy invested? Panel: Jessica Berg (Executive Director, MNCup) Angie Eilers (Founder & CEO, UR Turn) Corbin Fonville (CEO, Edji) Eric Martell (Managing Director, gener8tor) Moderator: Adam Gordon (President, Andamio Games) Schedule: Check-in, Eat (catered by D'Amico), Network: 6:00 pm Panel Discussion and Questions: 6:30-7:30 pm Follow-up, More Networking, Dessert: 7:30-8:00 pm
