Jobs to be Done in Ed-Tech, Part 1

Details
The "Jobs to be Done" framework, developed by famed Harvard Business School professor Clayton Christensen (The Innovators Dilemma), has been used by countless organizations to identify disruptive growth opportunities in a variety of industries. It is an especially powerful tool for winning in the very challenging educational technology market.
A fresh understanding of what causes customers to "hire" your product will help you
• Nail the challenge of Product-Market Fit
• Identify new, profitable market spaces
• Stay relevant when the degree and speed of change is accelerating
In this hands-on session, we'll introduce the JTBD framework and apply it to education. We will be led by DeLonn Crosby of EduCharacter, who worked closely with the originators of the approach while at Harvard Business School. Also facilitating the session will be Amy Ward and James Diers of GoKart Labs.
Homework will be assigned, in preparation for Jobs to be Done, Part 2: A facilitated Q&A with Don Smithmier, to take place at GoKart Labs during Twin Cities Startup Week (October 8-14). Don has put the JTBD approach into practice at GoKart Labs and will share his experience with the process. More details to follow.
