What we're about

Effective Altruism (EA) is a philosophy and a growing social movement that has the desire to make the world as good a place as it can be. It uses evidence and reason to find out how to do so and takes action to make it happen.

Examples: giving to the most cost-effective charities, choosing a career in a way that maximizes impact. thinking critically about what causes to support, making everyday EA choices.

See this TEDTalk by philosopher Peter Singer to get a quick idea about what EA is.
