This month we will discuss: How Much Should We Care About The Long Future? The meetup will be a group discussion centered around how we (as a society or as individuals/effective altruists) should think about the future versus now, when/how can we do the most good? Some questions/discussion starters: - Should we save/invest and give later? - Should we value the lives of people in the future the same as ours? Or less? Or more? - The future is uncertain, should we take this into account?
