What we’re about

Effective altruism is a philosophy and social movement which applies evidence and reason to working out the most effective ways to improve the world.

Our resources - time and money - are limited. How can we use them to prevent the most suffering and save the most lives? What are the rational reasons for investing our resources in different causes? These questions are addressed by the philosophy and global movement of Effective Altruism - from philosophical, economic, cognitive and socio-psychological perspectives.
