About the talk:

If you're looking to implement the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) the following questions will often arise:
What is the starting point for implementing SAFe?
How closely does an organisation need to follow the various SAFe practices to get the desired outcomes?
The answer to both questions is 'Essential SAFe'.
While there are four configurations of SAFe — Essential SAFe, Portfolio SAFe, Large Solution SAFe and Full SAFe — Essential SAFe is the primary configuration and the foundation on which everything else is built. It provides a starting point for implementing SAFe and describes the most critical elements needed to realise the majority of the framework’s benefits. Only after this foundation is in place should the other three configurations of SAFe be considered.
In this interactive session James Halprin will walk through the ten key elements of Essential SAFe and guide participants through a self assessment.

James is an experienced Enterprise Agile Coach and Trainer and is only the 3rd person in Australia to be accepted into the SAFe Program Consultant Trainer (SPCT) program. James is passionate about leading organizations through Business Agility & Lean Transformations and as an SPCT candidate, helps organisations more effectively transition to SAFe in order to maximise the benefits and achieve the desired business outcomes.
