Why are you interested in electric vehicle technology and innovation?

EVs represent an enticing combination of new technology, opportunity for positive societal impact, and business growth. I'm excited enough about EVs that I am planning to move to a new residence that will accomodate a charging station. The shift to open software and hardware standards in vehicle will empower drivers by turning raw vehicle data into the kind of information that they need. Silicon Valley will creat open-source software and hardware accessories that will go way beyond any ideas the car companies and their traditional suppliers might envision. The coming Cadillac User Experience and GENIVI standards are a sign that the revolution is really upon us.

Are you part of an electric vehicle startup?

Not yet.

What is the name of your company?

What topics would you like to see covered at EVE Silicon Valley meetings?

Opportunities for collaboration and participation in local initiatives; tech talks about innovative EV technologies, particularly drivetrains and controls. I have been exploring the possibility of screening Chris Paine's "Revenge of the Electric Vehicle" at an SVAOS meeting and have been in touch with the distributor. The screening would make a great SVAOS-EVE joint meeting!

Do you currently own a hybrid vehicle or electric vehicle?
