For this workshop, we're going to review how to measure voltage, current, and resistance using a multimeter. Then we're going to use an Arduino to measure the same things. And finally, we're going to use what we've learned to use a thermistor to measure temperature, a photo resistor to detect light, and an ultrasonic sensor to measure distance.
To get the most of this workshop, you'll need to have a basic understanding of simple electronics concepts such as voltage, current, and how to program an arduino. If you don't know these things, or you're a little rusty, we might still be able to walk you through everything if there aren't too many people.
Please bring a laptop with the Arduino development environment already installed.
Pizza and soda will be provided.
