Abstract: This talk demonstrates why Kubernetes may be an overkill for applications in the context of AWS and how to deploy BEAM applications on AWS using tools like CDK and ECS Fargate to enable development teams to manage their own infrastructure in a more integrated, cost-effective and secure-by-default manner without requiring dedicated DevOps specialists or Kubernetes expertise.
