A meetup for developers interested in the programming language Elm.
We'll organize meetups semi-frequently, where people can come to share and learn. The goal of the meetup group is to advocate Elm and functional programming for the web. We'll borrow the well-proven meetup format used by the Elm User Group in San Francisco:
"An Elm Hack Night is a place to learn and make cool stuff together.
A community member may spend about 15 minutes up front talking about something generally helpful to making cool stuff. After that, we will break off into small groups and work together to learn and create stuff!
We love getting a diverse group of people, from beginners to experts, so if you are on the fence about coming out, just go for it!" That's it!
Please note: The group is called Elm Scotland as we are a small (but proud!) country and Elm is a small (but growing) interest. The organizers are based in Edinburgh but decided to cover all of Scotland to get the best chance of finding a decent sized membership. We could have meetings in other cities if the interest is there. Also if someone starts an Elm group for another city, we can down-scope this one to be just for Edinburgh. We'll see how it goes.
