Elm Code Night / Volunteer Planning
Details
Come join us to learn Elm and work on projects! Beginners welcome!
We will also discuss how to organize something like "Elm Bridge" in Boston, to reach out to people who could benefit most from help and mentorship. Looking for instructors and help organizing! But I'd like to talk about how to grow this into something bigger with the help of Elm Software Foundation.
Otherwise it will be a normal code night!
-----
A code night is about meeting folks interested in Elm and learning from each other. First 10 minutes people share if they have a project they want to work on. Many times it is just getting Elm installed and making a program. From there, we break off into smaller groups and write code together!
We love getting a diverse group of people, from beginners to experts, so if you are on the fence about coming out, just go for it, especially if:
(1) Totally new to Elm? Getting Elm installed? Writing your first program? It will easier if you work with folks who have done it before!
(2) Starting a project? Maybe you have been eyeing Elm but don't know how it will work for your project. Fastest way is to ask us about the specifics or pair with someone here.
(3) Interested in open source? Talking with core team members and contributors is a great way to get started.
NOTE: There are a couple great food options within the Smith Center and surrounding area, so you do not need to stress about finding food in an unfamiliar neighborhood!
