This is a 4-week Introduction to Meditation class. It will be taught on 4 consecutive Tuesdays. Each class is 1.5 hours and is from 5:30 until 7:00 PM. There is a request for 10 minutes of practice daily. This course was developed at Duke University as a way to quickly provide students with tools to increase their focus and decrease stress. By the end of the course, you will have developed some mindfulness tools, better understand what mindfulness is and isn't, and be able to make an informed choice as to whether a meditation practice is right for you. Experienced meditators are also welcomed. The course is free with a voluntary love offering to fight food insecurity in children. Open to the public. Non-Sectarian.
