Emacs Lisp: Org-mode Hacks

Everyone loves org-mode, and loves talking about its features, but what about the low level stuff? Let's get together and talk about org-mode at the Elisp level: customizations and entire new features written in elisp.

We're looking for any lightning talk related to org-mode and elisp. For example:
