Join us in downtown Austin! This month's meetup will be hosted at the Galvanize (http://www.galvanize.com/campuses/austin-2nd-street-district/) campus in the 2nd street district.
There will be plenty of food, drinks and enlightenment. We'll be migrating over to the Gingerman (http://thegingerman.com/austin/) for an informal social event after the night's talks. This month, we'll be doing a recap of some of our favorite talks from EmberConf!!
Dan Wenzel - Ember Performance (In the Key of Robert Wagner)
Dan will be giving a synopsis Ember Performance workshop given by Robert Wagner. Front-end performance becomes more and more crucial as your application grows, and there are many awesome tools out there to identify and fix performance issues in your web application.
Dan Wenzel is a front-end engineer at PagerDuty. There, he specializes in building reusable Ember components, improving the developer experience, and evangelizing the Ember Way.
Chris Bonser - Living Animation (In the Key of Edward Faulkner)
Chris will provide a overview Edward Faulkner’s Ember Conf 2018 talk, ‘Living Animation,’ and discuss how to dissect a new Addon.
Chris is an aspiring woodworker and father of four girls who has managed to retain all ten fingers and his sanity. He works as a consultant for Rails, Ember, and React projects.
Robin Dykema - Deep Dive in Ember Events (In the Key of Marie Chatfield)
Robin will be giving a recap of the 'Deep Dive in Ember Events' talk given by Marie Chatfield. She will discuss the Ember event bug Marie found in her code, how she solved it, and how you can avoid making a similar mistake in your own code.
Robin is an applications engineer at Vectra AI, where she works on a network security application. Also, she really likes cats.
Don't forget to thank our wonderful sponsors!
We'd like to give a big hug to our venue sponsor, Galvanize (http://www.galvanize.com/campuses/austin-2nd-street-district/), for hooking us up with a super sweet downtown location. We're incredibly excited about the space!
There is a paid garage in the Galvanize building that has reasonable prices after hours. We also recommend taking public transit, looking for street parking, parking in the surface lot at Guadalupe and 3rd or using the City Hall or Violet Crown parking garages.
How to find us in the Galvanize building
Take the elevator to the second floor to check in at the front desk. They will direct you to the correct lecture space.
We'd love to hear from you!
