Speakers:
Eric Artzt (https://twitter.com/artzt): There and back again: an Ember Data API integration saga
Eric will recount his team's unlikely journey through many service integrations, and show how Ember Data became a faithful companion along the way.
Lauren Wszolek (https://twitter.com/studyinpink) and Anya Krupp (https://twitter.com/anya_krupp): Selecting a Select in Ember
Ever noticed there isn't a {{select}} input helper in Ember? If you've ever been told that selects are "hard" in Ember and wondered why, this talk will explore the limitations of native selects, why rolling your own might be harder than you hope, and how addons get around these complications to work smoothly in the Ember ecosystem. We will also discuss costs, benefits, and how testing works in some of the most popular select addons like X-Select and Power-Select, so that when your own need for a dropdown arises, you can select (sorry) the best option (sorry again).
Gordon Potter (https://twitter.com/eccegordo): Ember, and the little engine that could
In this talk we will recap what was learned in the Engines Workshop, by demonstrating higher order application composition using engines. We will live code and engine integration inside a small show case host application.
Thanks again to Avalara for hosting.
