As we extend the web forward, there is an opportunity to create a new generation of content management systems. Ember is uniquely positioned to challenge older CMS software like WordPress, Drupal, and Joomla. Ember Core Team member Ed Faulkner (@eaf4) has been working on CardStack (http://cardstack.io), a new kind of CMS for the modern web.
Aaron will introduce the powerful concepts of the CardStack architecture, such as:
- Powerful content editing tools
- CardStack Hub, a JSON API server with API access to the schema & data model itself
- Plugins for data sources, data types, authentication rules, and more
- Content branching
- "Just Ember" integration
Then we'll build, with surprisingly little work, an application with powerful content-management features.
