The Curious Case of the Limerence Intro [Invisible Sun]
Details
"Do you think you live in the real world?
You don’t. This world you see around you is Shadow—a world illuminated only by the Grey Sun. You think it is your home, but that’s because you have forgotten your true self. Awaken, and return to the Actuality and Satyrine, the city under the Indigo Sun. You are a vislae, a wielder of fabulous powers and capabilities, a shaper of reality itself. You sought shelter in Shadow to escape the war, but the war is now over and your home has called you back."
Invisible Sun is a roleplaying game of surreal fantasy, secrets, and magic that is truly magical. Wield fabulous powers as you uncover the secrets of reality itself...
This will be an intro session to an Invisible Sun campaign. The campaign's details are still TBD, pending the release of the Invisible Sun product. As well, plots and themes of the game are heavily driven by the players in this system, so in a way we can't define the campaign backstory without the group of players.
This will be a weeknight game at roughly this time slot every 2 weeks, held at my residence. No meal will be provided, but you can bring food/drinks as you want. If you'd like to bring a guest as an observer you can (don't add that person as an attendee), but we do have semi limited space and limited space at the table.
Here is some info about me as a GM and the type of game this will be:

Disclaimer: I have two kids age 2 & 3, and so while I'll make every effort to get them in bed by 7PM and their mother will be tending to them, it is possible there will be disruptions, and I ask that you be considerate to the fact that this will be at my home with my wife and kids. Thanks!
I will update this meetup with more details once we have some interested attendees and probably start a side discussion.

Also, I highly recommend watching the YouTube series put on by Monte Cook Games (the game designer & publisher) and/or following along with their weekly Twitch series (I've tried to and I am about 1/2 through this, but it is great):

High level I will say this from following Invisible Sun for about two years now:
It is a highly player-choice oriented system that gives you multiple avenues for creating and imagining your character, the world, and your magical abilities.
It is a surreal setting of magic and imagination, where pretty much anything can happen.
It is a game about secrets, about learning them and utilizing their power, both as players and as in-game characters.
Mechanics in the core game are designed to allow players to imagine and build meaningful characters and stories around them over the course of a campaign using the following:
- Character defined and controlled plots
- Experience rewards based on character development, character plot advancement, and overarching plot advancement
- Character physical and magical manifestations of their development
- Fluid, dynamic, player defined and influenced magic
(All the above will become much clearer as you dive in, but it is pretty awesome if you ask me. I am actually a bit jealous some that somebody else isn't GMing, but I'm sure somebody will eventually if the game is a hit.)
