What is Encinitas Toastmasters?
Are you looking to improve your public speaking or leadership skills? You've come to the right place! Whether it's to get more comfortable in front of a room, become more successful in your career or preparing for a wedding speech, Encinitas Toastmasters is the perfect place for you.
Toastmasters is an internationally recognized public speaking and leadership group. Encinitas Toastmasters is one of the chapters (the best :)) and we meet each Thursday in Encinitas from 7:00pm-8:30pm.
What to expect?
Our weekly meetings are a low-pressure way of stepping out of your comfort zone and improving your public speaking and leadership skills. Everyone in Encinitas Toastmasters are extremely supportive and we host a comfortable environment for you to grow. During the meeting you can expect listening to prepared speeches from members, listen to evaluations of those speeches (grammar, um/ah counter, timer), and listen/participate in impromptu speeches during a section we call table topics. Participation in impromptu speeches is not required but we encourage newbies to take a shot if they are up for it :).
Does it cost money?
Newcomers can attend a few meetings for free to see what we are all about and get comfortable. Members pay an annual fee to be part of Encinitas Toastmasters.
What to do next?
Just show up and we will help you from there! Each meeting is really fun and a great way to learn new things about being a better speaker and leader. We hope to see you at an upcoming meeting soon!
