Weekend Trip to Sea to Summit
Please kindly decide whether you will go or not, by October 27 12:00 a.m. As some of us suggest, we will go to Sea-to-Summit again for an intermediate hike. The hike is quite steep with 918 meters elevation gain. This will be at your own risk. You can also choose to take round-trip gondola at $41.95 online ( After arriving the Summit Lodge and a lunch break, we will take the gondola back to the parking lot. The cost is $15/person at window. This hike will take about 3.5 hours to complete. The end time is estimated, the activity is finished when all of us come back to the parking lot and arrange car pool back to Vancouver. You can find more info about the trail/ticket at Let's meet on the west side of Olympic Village Station at 10:30am, then arrange carpool. We will leave at 10:45am. Anyone who can carpool, please send me a message or leave a comment stating how many people you can take. Gas contribution will be $15/person. CARPOOL: Hamid 4 Otto 4 How to prepare for a hike? 1. Pack plenty of water specially during the summer months. 2. Wear supportive, closed footwear like hiking boots and comfortable socks. 3. Wear comfortable clothes in layers that you can remove or add as needed. Be aware of light rain/fog in the mountain, wear waterproof/water repellent jacket. 4. Pack lunch and snacks like peanuts, almonds, walnuts, fruit leather, beef sticks, etc. 5. Let someone know that you are hiking, tell someone where you're hiking and how long you'll be gone for the day. 6. Pack a fully charged cell phone. 7. Pack basic first aid supplies like bandages and antiseptic wipes. 8. Pack a camera. 9. Put on plenty of sunscreen before the hike and bring some for re-applying. 10. Bring insect repellent just in case you need it. 11. Bring sunglasses and hat in case you need it. Few things to keep in mind about this meetup event. 1. Please be on time, very important. 2. Please RSVP if you would like to attend the meetup event. 3. Please update your RSVP if you change your mind and decide not to attend. 4. If you'd like to bring a friend who is not a member of the meetup group, please RSVP for him/her. If it ends up raining, we will cancel the event.     What we're about

    Do you want to practice English and have the opportunity for a real language and cultural exchange? We are a wonderful community of fun and friendly Asian people who get together to practice languages! Join us at our language exchange meetings to brush up on a foreign language and learn something completely new about another culture!

    We will also have other fun cultural events such as ice skating, badminton, table tennis, dodgeball, beach volleyball, frisbee, board games, dancing, singing, yoga, drinking, swimming, hiking and ethnic restaurant to promote language practice and cultural exchange!

    Being a member is free. Our members came from Japan, Korea, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Macau and Vietnam. We have native speakers of many other languages.
