Below are details of upcoming Meet ups and SSC courses.
- Free Meet up sessions +
Tour to Stirling
1.1. This Saturday (12th November) 12.00-16.00
Develop your English for Finance and learn how to make money
by playing the 'Cashflow'boardgame.
1.2. Every 2nd Thursday, starting Nov. 10 from 7.30 - 9.00 PM:
- International film night - Come to the SSC 'SSCREENROOM' and watch a movie
Thursday Nov. 10: The Japanese animation 'Spirited Away'
1.3. Every 2nd Thursday, starting 17th Nov. from 7.30- 9.00 PM
- English through Film & Discussion - watch some film and discuss issues relating to Scottish history and culture, human rights, world issues...
These sessions are guided and are ideal if you want to improve your higher level discussion skills in English.
Meet up topics for November- December – on Scottish History/Culture:
17th November – William Wallace
1st December - Robert the Bruce
1.4. Saturday Dec. 10th – All day study tour to Stirling, taking in Bannockburn, Stirling Castle, and the Wallace Monument.
Cost £10 contribution for transport in SSC Minibus + Entrance fees to Castle, Bannockburn + Wallace Monument (Entry is optional)

- SSC courses
You can either start SSC courses now, or you can sign up for the term starting Week beginning January 9, 2017.
Note that there have been changes to the scheduling of some of the courses. Also, there is some flexibility in the scheduling, so if the timing doesn't suit you, please let me know alternative days/times that do.

6 Week course:
£90 for courses at 1 X 1.5 hour session per week (£75)
£180 for courses at 2 X 1.5 hour sessions per week (£130 for English/Languages
Through Film & Discussion Meet up members)
Sign up for 12 weeks:
£160 for courses at 1 X 1.5 hour session per week. (£120 for English/Languages Through Film & Discussion Meet up members)
£340 for courses at 2 X 1.5 hour sessions per week (£230 for English/Languages
Through Film & Discussion Meet up members)
Note:
Depending on the scheduling of classes, it is possible to mix different courses.
For example, you could take:
1 X 1.5 hour session on English for Employability and Business
1 X 1.5 hour session on English for Academic Study
Fees for mixed courses, including Meet up discount + mixed course surcharge:
6 Weeks at 2 X 1.5 hour sessions per week:
£130 + £20 surcharge = £150
12 Weeks at 2 X 1.5 hour sessions per week:
£230 + £20 surcharge = £250

English for REAL Communication - suitable for Lower-intermediate to Intermediate levels
All other courses - suitable for Upper-intermediate to Advanced levels
