Yoga for Every Body

Wallingford Community Senior Center

Yoga For Every Body is an easy introduction to practices that improve posture and relieve tension. This gentle yoga series is conducted by Diana Bonyhadi and designed for older adults. The class focuses on balance, flexibility, strength and positive self-regard through movement, postures (asana), breath work (pranayama) and guided meditation. Props and chairs will be provided to ensure comfortable and safe participation for all. Bring your mat and come prepared to have fun and be supported as you move and stretch, grow stronger and more at peace in mind, body and spirit. Cost is $7 for members and $9 for non-members Drop-ins are welcome.

Enhance Fitness

Wallingford Community Senior Center

This is an adaptable exercise program designed with older adults in mind. The class focuses on balance, strength and flexibility. It is a differentiated class that works well with a a variety of fitness levels; from very beginner to intermediate. Drop-ins are welcome to join and your first class is free! Cost is $4 for members and $6 for non members. There is no cost to Kaiser Permanente Adv. members. **Wear lose comfortable clothing.

Chair Yoga

Wallingford Community Senior Center

Have you ever wanted to try yoga, but have been unsure if it’s the right fit? Chair yoga is designed for everybody, including those with mobility and balance challenges. Practice simple movements and breath awareness that develop inner calm while improving circulation, flexibility and balance. Taught by Sam Poyta, MSW, Certified Yoga Teacher. Wheelchair and hard of hearing accessible. $7 members, $9 public. Advance registration is required.
