Kundalini Yoga is a fun, challenging, transformative practice that can help you become the person you want to be. It safely and progressively awakens the Kundalini Power, or dormant spiritual potential, within you. In a typical Kundalini Yoga class you will move, breathe, chant, sing, and meditate: you will go through an experience, and you will be different than when you started. With time, consistency, and an attitude of openness and curiosity, you will start to have an experience of Sat Nam: your true, unlimited nature. But don’t take MY word for it — experience it for yourself!
Everyone is born with dormant Kundalini energy, which lies coiled at the base of the spine. As we begin to move through the asanas, deepening our breath we start to move the energy up the spine. Many deep- seated issues and traumas may come to the surface and it’s not unusual to find yourself crying or laughing when you first try some of the exercises. Its real common to feel a rush as the body’s natural painkillers, the endorphins, come surging to help us. I’m used to seeing people cry in my classes, but also to seeing them open up and laugh with pure joy!!
