Minecraft Modding: Social Distancing

Social distancing has played an important role in reducing the spread of COVID-19. The recommendation from the CDC is to:

• Stay at least 6 feet (about 2 arms' length) from other people
• Do not gather in groups
• Stay out of crowded places and avoid mass gatherings

In this meetup, learn to program a mod to simulate this social environment. You must be farther than "6 feet" away from everyone to stay healthy. If you wear a mask, this will lessen the chance of getting sick.

We hope this will build awareness of social distancing and wearing masks In this unprecedented times. We all have to work together to make this a world a kinder, safer and healthier place.

You will need a Minecraft license, Java Edition (not Windows 10 or mobile). If you don't have one, you can purchase this at minecraft.net. This is recommended for kids ages 8 and up. No programming experienced required. This is an online event only.
