What we're about

This group was formed as part of the dawn of a truth and reconciliation movement that is spreading across the nation among those whose consciousness is on the rise. The group is for anyone who feels moved to learn about and get active in the Equal Justice movement, specifically on Racial Justice, Children in Prison, Mass Incarceration, Death Penalty and Just Mercy. The goal of this group is to gain knowledge, learn and become active in whatever ways possible to work for equal and racial justice, with a focus on Children in Prison and Prison Reform.

The system is a massive and brutal beast--we all must begin chipping away at it little by little in order to bring about meaningful reform. Change will not happen overnight, however if we all do something, even something as seemingly small as talking our network about the need for change, the movement will continue to build. Please read through some of the article links in the discussion section if you are so inclined, and feel free to make suggestions for what you would like to see in this group. Thank you for joining and I look forward to meeting you.

P.S. 2018 Update:

In the same vain as other social justice groups, from here on out, all members of this group will now be "co-organizers" with ability to post/list/host events. Please post and host an Equal Justice event that is near or dear to your heart, or feel free to schedule a social meetup with Equal Justice socializing in mind. Message me if you have any questions!

Sincerely,
Cory
