Elixir Katas with Functional Kubs

Details
Joint meetup with the Kubs
Folks, this time we're pairing with Functional Kubs (https://www.meetup.com/FunctionalKubs/events/239103665/) to host an Elixir themed code kata session. The goal is to solve a small albeit interesting problem with coding, preferably in a functional manner.
So what are katas again?
Functional Katas are a fun way to practise coding, explore new programming languages and paradigms, whether you're new to functional programming or have a lot of experience.
We choose a simple problem to work on, then form groups to pair program on a solution for about an hour. Each group chooses a programming language that they want to work in. At the end, groups show their solutions for fun and (non-)profit. Laughs are had.
Helpers wanted
For this though, we will definitely have newcomers, who has not experienced the greatness of the BEAM yet. Anyone who might be interested to sign up as a 'mentor', please do so here.
You still get to do the challenge, the only thing we'd ask you to do, is be part of a group, where you might need to guide a few (read: not more than 3) people with how to go about writing a basic Elixir program. No serious experience required, just basic understanding of the language.
Coders wanted
If you are totally new to Elixir. Or just want to have fun with solving the katas, then head over to the Functional Kubs event page (https://www.meetup.com/FunctionalKubs/events/239103665/), and sign up as an attendee.
