What we're about

Looking for a weekend escape with good friends? Or a solo adventure making new ones?

Follow the red fox on an "Escape the City" two or three day ride in the country.

Leaving Saturday morning, cycling from an easily accessible start point on the outskirts of the city, our experienced guide will lead you on an idyllic route from the stresses of city life. Experience the beauty of the Great British countryside as a group of up to 20 riders.

We'll set up base at a carefully chosen campsite with all the amenities and organise optional wild and wonderful activities such as hiking, wild swimming and morning yoga or pilates.

We provide the tent, a camping mat, air pillow and a chair, all you need to bring is sleeping bag. A number of our 2022 rides include glamping and bunkhouse options too! Our support van will take the weight of your overnight bag so you can focus on enjoying the ride.

We'll keep you nourished and hydrated throughout the day and in the evening enjoy dinner together in a welcoming local pub or around the campfire.

Our return ride will have you back in London Sunday evening, relaxed, rejuvenated and ready for the new week.

Escape the City to the Peak District Cycling Weekend (£235)

Needs a location

£235.00

Challenge yourself with this weekend cycling adventure, exploring the best of the Peak District National Park.

Let us guide you along small country lanes as you soak in the rich history of the region, from bronze age stone circles to classical Edwardian architecture, as you explore the rugged natural beauty in the hills and hollows of the Peak District National Park.

THE EXPERIENCE:

A fully guided, fully supported 2 day cycle experience exploring the dramatic landscapes of the Peak District National Park.

Gently climb out of Macclesfield on quiet backcountry lanes through the Macclesfield Forest, once the centre of a Norman Royal Forest, before we head out into the more rugged moors.

Escape the roads entirely and discover some of the regions historic industrial past as you cut through the landscape over viaducts and through tunnels on disused railway lines on beautiful sections of the Monsal and Tissington Trails.

Discover bronze age bridges and stone circles before passing through the elegant spa town of Buxton and marvel at its Edwardian Opera House.

Refuel on iconic baked goods in the bustling town of Bakewell.

On Saturday evening we’ll stroll a short distance into the village for a traditional pub meal and a well-earned drink.

Circumnavigate the Ladybower Reservoir, training place for the infamous Dambuster raid, and marvel at the towering feats of engineering.
